Text Box: Debra has been with the federal government for two years. She was stationed in the US Army for 8 years before coming to work for the federal government. She started with the DOL in April 2009 as a paralegal in the Office of the Solicitor, Civil Rights and Labor Management Division in Washington, D.C.. She has also worked as a paralegal for the Department of the Navy. She joined AFGE Local 12 in 2009. Debra graduated with a BS in Criminal Justice from Bellevue University in Bellevue, NE in 2005, and she completed a Master’s degree in paralegal studies from The George Washington University in 2009. Her graduate thesis was on “At Will Employment Law” and her desire is to be an active member and participant of the union so that she can help to make life better for union workers as a whole. Text Box: Paul started at DOL in 2000 at the Wage and Hour Division. He attended The University of Virginia and graduated in Environmental Science. He believes in Disability Employee Rights under the ADA in order to serve and protect Disabled Federal Workers from losing their pay and benefits despite the difficult circumstances that they all face in today’s work environment. Paul belongs to a public speaking and leadership development association called Toastmasters and is also affiliated with being on several memberships of associations and non-profit organizations as well.
